28 million!! The 28 millionth variable star observation in the AAVSO International Database was received on JD 2457112.8764468 (2015 March 31.3764 UT). It was sent by David Cejudo Fernandez (AAVSO observer initials CDZ; Madrid, Spain), who observed the DQ Herculis-type magnetic cataclysmic variable EI UMa at CCD magnitude 15.184 on JD 2457112.58785 (2015 March 31.0878 UT).
