Spectra: Low-resolution spectra taken by H. Koberger, Vilaflor, Tenerife, and W. Vollmann, Vienna, Austria, on Apr. 27.199, and by H. Maehara, Kwasan Observatory, Kyoto University, Japan, on Apr. 29.704 UT, confirm a classical nova.
