Each batch of my BL Tel downlaods has two extra images, a single B and a single V. They are taken before the normal series of three images in BVRI. An example appears at the bottom of the attached jpeg (last two rows). I do not measure and report these images, but I wonder why they appear. Any hints?

Hi Ed,
The reason that you get extra images is because BL_Tel is included in two separate projects. AAVSO_Monitoring produces the BVRI set. BSM_South_Survey produces the BV set. The BSM_South_Survey project includes about 800 targets south of the equator that are brighter than V=8, and is used to fill in when specific requests leave gaps in the observing schedule. We leave targets in the South_Survey so that when a specific request (such as a campaign or outburst) ends, the specific request plan can be deleted and the background monitoring can continue. Analyze them as you wish. They may have different exposure times, etc. and so might be better to submit as a separate measure.

OK, I'll measure anything I see, Can't hurt. Thanks Arne.
