Dear Solar Observers,
I wanted to let you know that I just released a new version of SunEntry (Version 2.0 - May 18, 2016).
If all goes well, you should not notice any difference! What changed is how SunEntry connects to our database (using an API rather than direct database access). This new way not only makes our database more secure, but it should eliminate the annoying "time-outs" or freezes that you may have experienced in the past.
If you are using SunEntry.jnlp to start the program, you do not have to do anything to get the new version as it will update automatically next time you use the program. If you are using SunEntry.jar (from the SunEntry.zip file) this will not update itself automatically so you will need to download this again from the SunEntry webpage: https://www.aavso.org/sun-entry
