Hey all!
I'm working on a project on Zooniverse called Star Notes.
They are notes from some of the earliest women astronomers at Harvard and it's our job to go through and identify the photometric plates they mention in their notes.
So many of the pages have a note scribbled across the top about "Measurement of new variable XXX in XXX."
This project is aiming to preserve all this data from the late 1800's so it's not lost to time.
Even if you don't contribute, it's so cool to see the amount of new variables they were finding at the time with the absence of allsky surveys and telescopes that can detect a 0.001 amplitude change.
