Hi All

R For is currently undergoing a faint minimum which may be the faintest observed since observations began in 1918. It's below 14th mag. The last well observed faint minimum was in 1983/1984. Feast et al attributed this to a change in circumstellar dust obscuration at this time. Another faint minima (although less well observed) occurred in 1992.

R For can be difficult to observe when bright due to its obvious redness. This is currently not too much of a problem when faint so observations should show less scatter.

I'd encourage more observations.

Regards

Andrew
