For some time now NY Ori has been on my observing list. Last night I got an image but when I uploaded it to VPHOT it wouldn't show up. I loaded it manually and selected my NY Ori sequence, which has always worked in the past, and only one comp star showed up in the image. I then proceeded to create a new image starting with loading the variable star index. There are dozens of variable stars in this field. After clearing away most of them I did not see NY Ori identified. Upon comparing it with a new VSP chart for NY Ori I find that it is now labeled V0566 Ori in VPHOT.
Does anyone know what is going on here?

NY Ori is a faint EXOR that is only 5arcsec away from a much brighter (INSA) variable - V0566 Ori. These are both deep in the Orion complex of young variables. It looks like most (if not all) of the submitted data for NY Ori really belongs to V0566 Ori. I'll have the staff look at this case and move observations to the correct star.
In VSP, I see a normal sequence for a 10th magnitude variable (which is really V0566 Ori), so I'm not sure why you only got one comp star in VPHOT - I think that is a different question.
