Background/Interesting Fact
My third grade teacher, Mrs. Scott, introduced me to astronomy. She put books at the front of the classroom for those (two of us) who finished their work early. She noticed that I chose and read the astronomy books. When I finished one, she would replace it with another. By the end of the year, I knew enough to nourish a lifelong interest.
