The Kepler Telescope will be observing V1157 Sgr for about 75 days starting October 4 as part of teh K2 program. V1157 Sgr seems to be rising out of a deep decline. The last observation on Aug. 22 is V=16.6. More photometric measurements before and during this period would be very valuable. This is the first RCB star to be observed by Kepler and will provide the most accurate photometry ever obtained for an RCB star.

Thanks,

Geoff Clayton
