The Z And star, V618 Sgr is undergoing a bright outburst and is currently brighter than at any time since observations in the AID began in 1978. This morning I made it mag 10.2. It did start to brighten sometime in late 2017 to early 2018 and throughout 2018 remained around mag 11.6-11.8. This is the first observation I've made since conjunction and it appears to have brightened further.
I'd encourage anyone to follow this interesting star.
