'No AUID' error for alf com

When I search for recent observations for alf com using the 'pick a star' box on the homepage, I get an error that there is no AUID assigned.  However, there is an AUID in VSX.  This happens from the home page when I put 'alf com' in the search box under 'pick a star'  and select 'check recent observations'.  I have attached the error screen to this post.

auid error

Hi Jim,

I don't get that error message at all.  There are NO observations submitted in the past year for alpha com, and I get a blank page when trying to plot a light curve, but no error message, and I can get finder charts and VSX info without problems.  You might try refreshing your cache.

error message

The only time I get the error is when I select 'check recent observations' .  The other choices work, although as noted the light curve is blank.  Maybe this error will go away once someone uploads an observation.  Its been cloudy in Vermont, but next clear morning I will give it a shot.  I would imagine someone with clearer skies has already made some observations, but it does not appear any are loaded.

check recent observations

Hi Jim,

Obviously a bug!  We'll mark it down to fix by posting a proper error message.  Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Alpha Com campaign - no eclipse upcoming

Dr. Muterspaugh reports that the eclipse of alf Com, if it did occur, occurred about two months ago. He writes: "There is no need to continue observations.  The ones that have been taken in fact do give a useful assessment of circumstellar objects trailing the leading star in its orbit, so they are certainly valuable.

"I would appreciate it if you could include a very personal thank you and apology to the people who have been observing this system in response to the campaign announcement."

Many thanks, and good observing,
