There's no way to select a single band in Zapper. In addition to reporting an observation as discrepant, the only selection you can make there is to highlight an observer's data (bands are differentiated by color).
You can use VStar or the Light Curve Generator to look at a single band of data for a star.
We have considered the idea of changing the shape of the points for each band, and in fact, that's how the Light Curve Generator (LCGv2) does things. The only problem is that with more than 40 different possible bands, the points have to become large enough to distinguish between the different shapes which makes it kind of clunky for data validation. Have you tried changing the colors to something that works better for you? You can do this using the menu items Options > Preferences > Customize Colors...
If you want to get a light curve using a URL, you can get this using the LCGv2: https://www.aavso.org/LCGv2/ Just request a light curve and then click "Preferences". You will see a URL for both a "static" and "interactive" version of the light curve. Once you see how it works, you can substitute different star names, dates, bands, etc.
There is no way to do this sort of thing with Zapper.
That will work. You might want to be sure that you are still showing "fainter-than" observations and they too are usually visual and can help with validation.

Good observing,

Thank you for your response.
Something to consider, instead of color use different point shapes for each band. That way even someone who is color blind can varlidate data.
A couple of more questons? Is there a way to directly downloading data with out using the interface?

If you want to download a file of data, you should use the Data Download Tool: https://www.aavso.org/data-download

I hope this helps to answer your questions.

Are there any plans to updgrade Zapper allow the selection of single bands? Thanks for you reply. David
Hi David,
Unfortunately, we have no plans to modify Zapper at this time. Remember that you can select a single band in both LCGv2 and VStar.

A went into color selecter and "blued" out everything but the visual....
That will work. You might want to be sure that you are still showing "fainter-than" observations and they too are usually visual and can help with validation.
