Good morning all,
I have three items that may aquire attention or clarification.
1. I received sets of images from BSM_S of R Sct. Two sets of twelve taken back to back it appears. The first image of the first set is not centered on R Sct. See attached image. The remaining images pointed fine.
2. I received an email from AAVSOnet saying I had images of R Sct from OC61 from March 17. I am not suppose to get these images. This is third time I have gotten this set from the 17th on the FTP server. They do not show up in Vphot. Several days ago Arne turned this off as this target was for BSM telescopes. Now they appear back.
3. Looking at my proposal #134 I am suppose to be getting images of S Dor from BSM_S. According to the pipeline report images where taken on the 28th and 31st. As I have not received them yet I was wondering if there was a hold up in the pipeline?
Clear skies,
Dennis
Hi Dennis:
Andrew Pearce submitted a proposal for the same star. To satisfy both requesters, I split S Dor between BSM_S and BSM_Berry. He got BSM_S and you got BSM_Berry. I thought I put a note in the proposal comments field. Sorry if I didn't. Unfortunately, BSM_Berry camera is out of comission at the moment.

Hi Dennis:
Occasionally, initial pointing may be off. It generally gets adjusted before subsequent images. I assume there are replicate images in that first filter, so you still get reasonable photometry?
Ken
Hi Ken,
Yes you put a note in the comments about spliting the star between me and Andrew. But the telescope listed on my purposal is BSM_S. That is why In ask.
Clear skies,
Dennis
Now it says Berry. ;-)
Dennis:
I'll try to resolve this issue. Even though Arne turned it off, if the plan gets remotely updated, it may get turned on again. OC61 images have been recently regenerated, thus the repeated images on FTP.
You obviously can ignore the images.
Ken
Ken,
Yes I ignored the images. But they are taking up space on the FTP server.
Dennis
Hi Ken,
Since I got two sets of twelve images, appearently taken back to back I had 23 out of 24 good images to work with. I had never saw this pointing error before so thought I would mention it.
Clear skies,
Dennis.
Ken,
Thanks for your quick attention to these issues. Now back to social distancing.
Dennis
