I get this error. Any thoughts? Do I have to use some type of special group code in MaximDL? I just let it default to na.
# failed VSP API chart request. No CREFMAG available. Possibly bad chart reference. failed VSP API chart request. No KREFMAG available.
Note that SS Cyg chart is labeled 25582AR but table plot says use 25582AS. Could this be the problem? I checked and unchecked the use standard star field to no avail.
You should use the chart ID of the photometry table
I tried both ways and still get the errors. I will use the chard ID of the table from now on. Curious why there is a difference though? The table is the photometry for the check stars of the field. Why are the IDs different?
One ID for the chart is the image of the chart with the identified magnitudes of comparison stars in that FOV. The photometry table ID contains the AUID for the comparison stars with the magnitudes and errors. The info in the photometry table is what TA is looking for. With that said, in your AAVSO report, the label of your comparison and check stars must be the AUID in the photometry table. Also, you can only use one comparison star if using TA. You can not use ensemble photometry for your comparison star.
Doh!! That might explain it. I thought making the word ensemble disappear fixed that issue but I still had 2 comparison stars. Maxim only uses ensemble in the list after 3 or so I think. What about a check star? Or is it strictly one comparison and one target? Thanks for your help.
I use Maxim also. It you use more than 2 comparison stars then that is ensemble. At a minimum, you should select your target(variable), comparison star, and a check star. If you are going to use TA, then don't select any more stars than this. When you label the comparison and check star in Maxim, then you use the AUID from the photometry table. When you save your results in Maxim as an AAVSO report, then under chart you put the ID of the photometry table
What is the proper syntax for #BVCOLOR. I get an error when I use #BVCOLOR=0.5,.001. I'm trying to transform images taken in V and then later R for SS Cyg.
I am still getting errors. Here is a bit of my txt file.

And here is the error I am getting now. I wonder if there is a chart error here. It's looking for CREFMAG and KREFMAG but Maxim does not list these in the export.

Ok, I think I figured out the syntax, no comma. add a space. at least no error on the bvcolor this time but there is apparently still a chart error. I have mag for the Comp and the Check star in my Maxim file but apparently it cannot compare because of chart error. Is this something I report to AAVSO?
What does Can not find Bc for comp color! mean? I manually added a line for the comp mag and check star mag and the other errors went away but now I have this error.
Your txt file from Maxim shows V filter observations but do you have and observations in B filter or any other filter? You need observations in two filters to transform your magnitudes in TA.
Yes I have red. Are we supposed to load them all into Maxim at once in the photometry and then export the AAVSO file for TA? Guess I have never done this before. I have only uploaded one filtered set at a time.
Yes, In Maxim I perform photometry on all filters then I have one AAVSO file with observations in all of the filters. Then open this file in TA.
