Hi,
I'm a new Alpy owner; I had the guiding module (mirror slit) installed & had a few imaging sessions.
Now, as I try to remove the guiding slit holder (to try other slits in the standard multi-slit holder), I find that it is stuck.
The 2 screws have been removed but the guiding slit holder will not budge.
I've tried various means but am afraid too much force will damage the holder or scratch the mirror.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Any help is appreciated, thank you very much!
Regards
SK
I've not had an issue like that with my Aply - the slit module was easy to change. Sorry, not much help...
Thanks for the reply anyway : )
I'm still struggling with it; think I'll have to settle for a 'permanent' slit guiding mode, which is my main purpose so perhaps it's fine.
I'm thinking it's a combination of me screwing the guiding slit holder down too tightly & contraction of the metal parts.....

I was a beta tester of the ALPY back in 2014 and I had a slit holder which did not seat fully though it did not actually seize (A machining issue which was solved and subsquent slit modules were a clearance fit) warming or cooling it might give enough clearance to free it but have you contacted Shelyak for advice? They are normall very helpful
Cheers
Robin
Thank you Robin, I haven't contacted Shelyak; will do that.
Thanks.

My problem has gotten worse: the core module now produces severe artefacts/ leaks. So far no reply from Shelyak so I think I'm going to write in & see if they can offer me a solution/ replacement.
I called Shelyak directly & was surprised they helped to troubleshoot right away; very helpful. Hope we can resolve our problem soon
