Background/Interesting Fact
I enjoy visual observing, especially CVs, NLs and RCBs.
I use an SDM 28" f/3.3 made by Peter Read, of Victoria, Australia. The mirrors are by Mike Lockwood. My telescope is called Kororia, which is Maori for 'Glory' or 'Glorious'. The name is taken for Psalm 19:1 "The heavens declare the glory of God."
I also have a Meade 12" LX200 GPS which has been a faithful servant these past 10 years.
My observatory is a 4.8m x 7.2m roll-off roof type. The roof rolls off 2/3 of the way. The other 1/3 is my chart room. The walls partially fold down on three sides so that I can get closer to the horizon on the south, east and north sides.
