Year End Giving
Tis the season
If you’re like many people, you do your major giving toward the end of the year. I think part of the reason is we get caught up in the spirit of the season. The shopping, planning and gift giving is all part of the fun. It feels good. Making a donation to your favorite non-profit organization feels good too.
Centennial T-Shirt Fundraiser
To help support our 2011 Centennial Celebration the AAVSO is offering special commemorative T-shirts in exchange for your $50.00 donation to the AAVSO. This was a limited edition run of 200 shirts only (update: about 130 left as of May, 2011). Once they are gone they are gone. We will never produce these collector items again.
Christmas Wish List from Headquarters
The end of the year is typically the busiest time for donations to non-profit organizations like the AAVSO. Not only is it the holiday season when gift giving comes front and center, but people tend to take stock of how the year has turned out financially, and if all is well they write a check to their favorite cause.
